the keeper of harmony
This piece became an exploration of balance in its truest form. Libra’s symbolism of harmony, justice, and duality guided every compositional choice, pushing me to visualize equilibrium not as perfection, but as an ongoing negotiation. The figure stands as a mediator between opposing forces, holding space for both emotion and intellect.
The scales weigh the heart against the brain, representing the core human tension between intuition and logic. The heart reflects Libra’s Venusian influence—connection, beauty, and feeling—while the brain speaks to the sign’s air element and rational clarity. Above, Venus presides as a quiet reminder that love and aesthetics are not weaknesses, but guiding principles.
References to the autumnal equinox and a softened yin–yang motif reinforce the idea of equal light and dark, day and night. Its intentionally imperfect form acknowledges that Libra’s harmony is not rigid or flawless, but fluid and deeply artistic. This piece honors Libra as the seeker of balance—not by choosing a side, but by learning how to hold both.
